Marti Jenkins

As the owner of Sheer Bliss, I have the greatest opportunity to gain knowledge in all aspects of the salon business. I am honored to educate others in their ambition to become a top designer. With 23 years of experience in cutting, styling and coloring hair, I continue to serve my clients everyday. Keeping up with the latest trends in hair and fashion, I have continued to educate myself with classes locally, nationally and internationally. Striving to become a platform artist, I have attended Goldwell, Tigi, Graham Web and L’Oréal classes. These classes allow me to continue my education on new techniques so I can serve my clients' needs more effectively and efficiently.

I believe that communication with the client about their hair is important. With new clients as well as existing clients, needs and wants come first and foremost. With my specialty in cutting and styling curly hair, I will provide you with a look that will make you feel great mentally and physically.

As the owner and provider, it is important to me to have existing and new clients come in the salon and feel welcomed. I am ready to meet you and transform you into a new person. My goal is for you to feel great and leave Sheer Bliss with a smile.

Brook Brown

I have seven years of experience in the salon industry. I have dedicated five of those years to the Sheer Bliss team. I have completed extensive training in Goldwell and Redken colors. I have attended the Altieri Brothers cutting seminar to keep up with the latest haircuts. I feel that dimensional color is necessary to get the “total look.” My specialties include color, corrective color and chemical hair defrizzing. For these services, I received my accreditation from Shinbi in New York. I aspire to further my career by becoming a platform artist. While currently working behind the chair, I’m able to keep up with trends in haircuts and up dos.

I honor the referral program and Locks of Love hair donation. Send me three clients and you will receive a service for Free. Referral clients get 10% off their service. If you donate your hair to Locks of Love, receive a free hair cut.

Tim Shaw

Tim has been a hair designer since 1991 and has devoted most of his career to higher education of haircolor theories, techniques as well as advanced training in haircolor correction. Tim's passion for hair has led him to obtain training with many different providers such as Goldwell, Redken, TIGI, KMS, Alteiri Brothers of Hollywood Californina and many more to come. Investing his time in color training, Tim has also devoted his time in learning the diverse art of haircutting and finishing the design. Tim's statement to the public and fellow designers is “No hair designer learned what they know by reading magazines, off of a hair color box at Wal-Mart or at a drugstore. No designer will stay current without further learning and having a true love for our industry.”

Jennifer Smith

I am originally from Mississippi and have had the pleasure of calling the Chapel Hill/Durham area my home for the past 10 years. I graduated from Mitchell's Academy in 2001. For the past 8 years, I've had the joy of continuing my education with the latest up to date coloring and cutting classes as well as attending Bumble and Bumble Institute in New York City. I also participated in Aveda Spring Fashion Show, Toni and Guy, Framies, and Goldwell color workshops. In 2005, I was involved in a local ambush makeover for the Fox Network. This is a makeover show where salons across America participate in surprise makeovers for guest in selected areas. I also volunteered my services for the “Locks of Love” fundraiser and was featured on Good Morning America. My area of expertise and what I pride myself on the most is razor cuts, coloring, cutting and styles. At the end of the day, what matters to me most is not only making my clients beautiful and happy, but by the time when they leave, they feel like family.
